I am an Assistant Professor at the Fowler School of Engineering at Chapman University, specializing in the intersection of computer graphics, extended reality (XR), and artificial intelligence (AI). My research focuses on integrating AI with visual computing technologies to address human-centered challenges in healthcare and education applications. Currently, I lead research on immersive 3D visualization systems that integrate complex, multidimensional human motion and activity data, enabling intelligent, multimodal gesture-based 3D interactions in XR environments.

During my postdoctoral training at CeMSIM at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, I served as a Senior Researcher and later Co-Investigator on multiple NIH-funded projects, collaborating with medical professionals nationwide to develop a real-time, physics-based simulation system for intelligent surgical training. I received my Ph.D. from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where I develop advanced GPU-powered parallel geometric modeling techniques for real-time CAD systems used in jewelry design and rapid prototyping.

Outside of work, I am a curious and playful problem-solver at heart. I love exploring puzzles of all kinds (as long as there is no timer!), building LEGO creations 🧱, playing video games 🎮, and embracing the great outdoors 🌳.
